There is plenty to do for children, with lots of animals to see and feed, as well as smaller cuddly animals to pet in our barn. Learn more about our meerkats through our daily talks, short pony rides are on most days and you can have a free bet on our ferret races! We have a variety of play equipment, go-carts, a lovely café and a shop to browse. We also have a riding school and trekking centre, offering riding to all abilities.

Haddon Hall

Haddon Hall is probably the finest example of a fortified medieval manor house in existence and is a favourite with TV and film crews. Haddon Hall dates from the 12th Century and holds events throughout the year starting at Easter.

RHS Chatsworth Flower Show

7th June 2017 – 11th June 2017

The first RHS Chatsworth Flower Show (7-11 June) is the must see event of 2017. Its overarching theme is ‘Design Revolutionaries’ and will celebrate not only the creative genius of gardeners and garden designers from the past, especially Joseph Paxton who was once the estate’s gardener, but also the talent, ideas and conceptual thinking of today’s generation of designers.

L'Eroica Britannia

The 4th L'Eroica Britannia vintage bicycle event, known as the most handsome bike event in the world is coming from Tuscany, Italy to the Peak District and taking form as a 3 day festival and bike ride.

Cromford Steam Rally

The Cromford Steam Rally Society has been established​ since 1970, and is now one of the most highly rated shows in this part of the country. The rally is of interest and amusement for the whole family,whilst at the same time retaining the essence of the bugone spirit of our event. Our tractor section will give you a unique insight into life on the farm in days gone by. look at our rural crafts section and enjoy the demonstrations taking place over the weekend. We have traditional steamers, historical motor vehicles, stationary engines, a model maequee and miniature steam. Amble around the stalls, have a look at our old time fair rides, look through our sections of  motorcycles, commercials vehicles, military displays and our wonderful old time organs.

The Chatsworth Country Fair

For a true taste of the very best the countryside has to offer, there's nowhere quite like the annual Country Fair here at Chatsworth. Come and sample some superb local produce, find some exquisite crafts and spend a weekend enjoying a whole host of family activities, displays and performances. Massed pipe and military bands, demonstrations and parades, hot air balloons, parachuting and over 300 varied trade stands and rural crafts make this a memorable event with something for everyone. Many of England's heritage of Country Sports and pastimes are on show including Armed service displays, horse shoeing, Ferret racing, archery and sheep dog trials.
