At Landal Darwin Forest we hire bikes to guests to use around the park and our 2km forest trail. The trail is perfect for families as it is a flat route that takes guests through the picturesque forest where you can surround yourself with nature.

The entrance to Landal Darwin Forest is located on a busy main road that is unsuitable for unexperienced cyclists. However there are miles of country roads to explore in the area and we have produced 3 circular routes from the Park.

The Peak District is renowned for its challenging mountain bike routes and there are numerous routes to explore. Local areas that are popular with Mountain Bikers include Pinewoods, Black Rocks and Crich Chase.

Traffic Free Cycling Trails for Families and Cycle Hire Centres
Derbyshire is blessed with over 65 miles of off-road cycling trails that are perfect for families or those who want to enjoy the picturesque countryside on a less strenuous route.
Monsal Trail - Runs from Bakewell to Chee Dale with cycle hire centres at Hassop Station and Blackwell Mill.
White Peak Loop - Runs from Rowsley to Matlock alongside the Peak Rail line.
High Peak Trail - Runs from Buxton to Cromford with cycle hire at Middleton Top.
Tissington Trail - Runs from Parsley Hay to Ashbourne with cycle hire at both ends of the Linear route at Parsley Hay and Ashbourne.
Manifold Trail - Runs from Hulme End to Water Houses with a cycle hire centre at Hulme End.
Carsington Water - A wonderful 8 mile circular route around the reservoir with cycle hire.
Ladybower and Derwent Valley - A circular route around the famous Ladybower reservoir and the upper Derwent Valley. Cycle hire available at Fairholmes.
